Move, write, express: explore East Asian dance & calligraphy in this creative storytelling session for Newham at 60.
About this Event

Celebrate Newham’s 60th anniversary with a unique cultural experience that blends movement, art, and personal storytelling. Ink & Flow invites you to explore East Asian traditions through gentle martial arts, expressive dance, and the timeless beauty of Korean, Japanese, and Chinese calligraphy.

What to Expect:

  • Embodied Storytelling (45 mins): Move through gentle martial arts and traditional East Asian dance forms, connecting body and narrative.
  • Calligraphy & Creativity (1.5 hrs): Discover the history and tools of East Asian calligraphy in a mini exhibit. Learn basic strokes and characters, then create your own visual story using brush and ink.

No prior experience needed – just curiosity and a willingness to explore!
