About this Event

This stakeholder engagement event and world café will bring together frontline practitioners, people with lived experience, commissioners and policymakers to collaboratively understand and consider the infant feeding support needs of women with severe mental illness.

Conference format

This is an in-person event to share research findings and facilitate networking, discussion and engagement.

About the event

Attendees at the event will:

  • Hear presentations of findings from recent research studies in this area
  • Hear from those with lived experience about their support needs and what makes a difference
  • Discuss ways forward to improve the support families receive
  • A world café will be held to facilitate discussion and co-design a resource to better support infant feeding among those with severe mental illness.

Who should attend?

This event is for people who are passionate about improving infant feeding support for people with mental illness in the perinatal period. You may have lived experience of perinatal mental illness, you might work in health, social care, the voluntary sector, researcher, teaching or elsewhere.
