About this Event
Indigenous Healthcare Delivery Workshop
Join us for an in-person workshop all about improving healthcare delivery in Indigenous communities. Our presentation will be led by Emily Sargent (White Earth Nation), PhD, who specializes in assessing, diagnosing and treating traumatic stress. She also has a special interest in issues and therapies that address cultural uniqueness. Dr. Sargent offers a variety of evidence-based traumatic stress treatments and is actively engaged in trauma research.
There will be a light meal provided that showcases Indigenous foods and will focus on healthcare delivery, mental health, and suicide prevention in the Indigenous community. This is a great chance to connect, learn, and share ideas on making healthcare more accessible and effective.
Whether you're a healthcare worker, community leader, student, or just passionate about the cause, this workshop is for you!
