Indiecon is a joint effort of independent magazine, book, art print and zine publishers from all over the world. The two-day publishing festival is based at Hamburg’s Oberhafen, a former freight yard now creative quarter right in the city centre.
The Festival brings together more than 100 independent publishers from all over the world. Founded in 2014, the two-day festival has since developed into a regular platform for an international scene of publishers – and become an annual destination for 4,000+ visitors from media, arts, book trade and the creative industries.
We firmly believe that independent publishing is an important part of a free society. Every magazine, book, art print or zine offers a glimpse into another persons reality. It can turn your head, frighten you or make you wanna lick the pages. In any case, it will spark an exchange of ideas and thereby widen your world.
Thematic variation at Indiecon is rampant. It includes journalism and literature, comics and illustration, photography, architecture, music and pop culture, popular science, business, politics and many things in between.
Join us for two days at our Hamburg home in Oberhafen, a former freight yard now creative quarter right in the city centre. We’ll set the stage for Indiecon to be a fair in daylight, and a bar at noon, with panini and a blinking lights, beats, drinks and dancing dinosaurs. ?
