One Night Only! Indie Spotlight is taking over The Pilot’s Stealth Lounge on January 25th! Five killer local bands - Wolfville, Lake Porter, Dante Matas , Gregory Childs & Matt Von - are bringing the energy for one epic night of live music you don’t want to miss.

Wolfville
Wolfville is the latest collaboration between acclaimed songwriters Kevin Howley and Scarlett Flynn, longstanding members of the Canadian music community who previously led the Toronto-based band Running Red Lights for over 14 years. Together, they bring a wealth of experience and a celebrated history of achievements to Wolfville. As Running Red Lights, Kevin and Scarlett toured extensively across Canada, the U.S., and Europe, opening for major acts such as Great Big Sea, Barenaked Ladies, and Counting Crows, while performing at high-profile events like NXNE, CMW, and Junofest. They were also featured on national platforms, including New Year’s Eve with ET Canada and MuchMusic’s Disband.

Gregory Childs
Gregory Childs & Heart Lung deliver raw, heartfelt alt-country. Fronted by songwriter Gregory Childs and his wife Tyrah Kalman, the band also features Jonathan Billings (guitar), Melissa Paju (bass), and Luke Sutherland (drums). Their sound blends heartfelt songwriting, punchy guitars, tambourine, and raw, emotional vocals. With comparisons to “unplugged Nirvana” and “a dark Fleetwood Mac” from Alan Cross (102.1 The Edge), they’ve become a staple of Toronto’s live scene.

Lake Porter
Lake Porter is a brand new singer-songwriter trio that thrives in the space between Folk Americana + Rock and Roll, balancing raw storytelling with rich melodies and a dynamic live show. What started as a casual collaboration between friends quickly took on a life of its own, revealing a sound too strong to keep to themselves.

Matt Von
Toronto-based Canadian singer-songwriter, Matt Von quickly became a name-stay within the Toronto community ever since garnering attention with his collaborative brother/sister duo, Sarah Jordan and Matt Von.
In 2020, Matt Von decided to go solo. He blended his pop/acoustic singer-songwriter background with hints of country and folk styles. His music compels listeners to go on an aural journey with his music, captivating audiences with his varied style and organic rawness and thoughtful lyricism.

Dante Matas
Dante Matas is a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Toronto. He combines his wide-ranging interests to make his unique brand of indie rock, psychedelic folk, and experimental pop. Dante’s music tends to have a contemplative and introspective character to it with a focus on catchy melodies and a pop sensibility.
