About this Event

Klasey Consulting is partnering with Lincoln Families to bring this training Increasing Awareness of Histrionic Personality Disruption to Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras providers.With a growing awareness of personality disruptions, it’s important for social service providers to understand them. When we don’t understand them we can only see someone being dramatic or emotional. This training will provide an overview of histrionic personality disruptions as well as strategies to best support someone with these tendencies.

Learning Objectvies

1. Participants will be able to identify one characteristic of individuals with histrionic personality disruptions
2. Participants will be able to identify at least one way histrionic tendencies can impact relationships
3. Participants will be able to identify one way to support individuals who exhibit histrionic tendencies

Please note that in order to register for these FREE trainings your organization must directly work with foster, adoptive or probation involved children, youth and their families in Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras only. Caregivers, including resource families, who serve youth in the above-mentioned counties are also eligible. Participants outside of these areas aren't eligible and will not receive the zoom link.

Dr. Kwonta Phatiphong is a registered psychological associate with 6 years of counseling experience in clinical and social service settings. She has experience in working with clients struggling with  trauma and crisis, substance abuse, learning disabilities, homelessness, and low and high functioning client populations. She is trained in substance abuse, Seeking Safety, TF-CBT, Motivational Interview, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Trauma Resiliency Model, and psychological assessments.
