About this Event
Inclusive Sex Education is a workshop designed to help parents and caregivers provide inclusive, meaningful, and relevant sexual education tailored to their teens’ unique needs. With a focus on open communication, this class offers practical tools for creating a safe and judgment-free space where your teen feels heard and understood. By listening closely to their experiences, concerns, and questions, you’ll be better equipped to address the topics that matter most to them—whether it’s about healthy relationships, consent, sexual orientation, gender identity, or reproductive health.
This class emphasizes the importance of inclusive sex education, ensuring that conversations reflect the diversity of your teen’s world. You’ll learn how to ask thoughtful, nonjudgmental questions that encourage your teen to open up about what they’re curious about or struggling with. We’ll also discuss how to navigate potentially sensitive topics with care, making sure your teen knows they can turn to you for accurate information and support, no matter what their background, identity, or experiences might be.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a set of tools and conversation starters to engage your teen in an ongoing dialogue about sex and relationships. You’ll leave with greater confidence in your ability to guide them in making informed, healthy, and respectful decisions. This isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about learning how to listen, understand, and respond in ways that empower your teen to take charge of their own education and well-being.
This class has no age restrictions and is a great one to take with your teen or preteen!
