About this Event

SUMMARY

This is a 4-week class series will introduce new students to a variety of basic meditation practices, or refresh existing students who want to go back to the basics.

We will be using the Buddha’s “Four Foundations of Mindfulness” from the Satipatthana Sutta regions of meditation focus to guide us through the four weeks of classes.

Students will spend time with a basic, single-focus meditation in each class, including breath, sound or body sensations, mental qualities, thoughts, and feelings, while we learn to quiet our minds. As time allows, we will practice guided meditation using mental imagery, standing meditation, and walking meditation.

REGISTRATION

SBMG's registration for all four classes is a sliding scale of $50-$200

As SBMG turns no one away for lack of funds, we will also provide a sliding scale for folks who need to pay outside of that range.

If you need full financial assistance or have other questions, please contact the instructor at [email protected].
