About this Event
Improvisational Leadership for CERT
Throughout history, people have improvised their way through disaster response. In this interactive class, participants will learn how intentional improvisational practice can strengthen individual and community preparedness.
Grounded in research and real stories, Improvisational Leadership for CERT is designed as a fun exploration that also provides a framework of how to think about supporting our communities when systems fail.
This course will provide participants with interactive exercises to develop and better understand the skills leaders can use in emergency situations. No previous improv experience needed. Shy people welcome.
Topics covered include:
- Community: Being Uncomfortable…Together
- Emergency: Organizing Chaos
- Response: In-the-moment Leadership
- Team: Improvisation & Working as a Team
If you sign up for a class but cannot attend, please cancel your registration on
Eventbrite as soon as possible to allow someone else to take your spot. If you do not
