Learn the botanical printing art of 拓印 (tà yìn) by creating your own dyed tote bag with plants gathered on a guided tour of the garden!
About this Event

In this workshop with artist and educator Hui-yi Chen, you’ll learn to use 拓印 (tà yìn), a traditional Chinese rubbing and printing technique, to create your own botanical compositions on fabric. We will begin with a sensory walk through the Garden, gathering fallen blossoms and wild leaves. Back at the workshop table, you’ll experiment with imprinting your collected plants onto a canvas tote bag. This hands-on workshop invites you to notice the details of seasonal flora and carry a piece of spring home with you. All supplies provided.
