Part of addressing our implicit bias is exploring where our biases come from. This workshop will focus on the connection between our racial conditioning, our fear response, and the tendency in U.S. culture to ascribe groups into the superior or inferior category or the in or out group. There will be a balance between deepening awareness and embodied action to disrupt biases that cause harm.
Objectives:
1. Participants will identify three ways race is always in the therapy room.
2. Participants will describe three types of racial microaggressions.
