Course theory will be delivered through a combination of online educational modules and in-person lectures, and will cover the basic and advanced aspects of Oral Surgery and Dental
Implantology
โข Throughout the program, delegates will undertake 10-8 implant cases. This will involve comprehensive treatment of the patient al the way from initial outpatient planning, through to surgical placement and final restoration. Successful delegates will have completed a minimum of five cases at a competent
level.
โข Delegates will have opportunity to complete an evidence-based research project as part of the course, and will also be able to present one of their completed clinical cases.
It is expected that at the stage of enrolment, candidates will have already obtained a basic level of oral surgery experience through their undergraduate course and internship, although may only have rudimentary knowledge of implantology; the course will deliver training on the assumption of no previous experience in implantology. The course will be delivered jointly by the British University in Egypt and Oral Surgery Team of the University of Sheffield, UK.
