Wednesday, March 11: The AmeriCosmos Experience
On Wednesday night, audiences are invited to step within and beyond our world with The AmeriCosmos Experience. This 75-minute immersive event is a masterclass in cinematic storytelling by Matt Venuti, blending live-looping, rare and captivating electronic and acoustic instruments, and breathtaking video projections. The visual narrative travels from the remote, majestic terrains of the United States—filmed by Venuti himself during his extensive touring and National Park residencies—to the deep reaches of Space, featuring stunning imagery from NASA and the James Webb Telescope. "This isn't just a concert; it's a multi-sensory experience," says Venuti, “designed to lead my audience into the realization of our connectiveness to nature, to each other, and to the cosmos”. The AmeriCosmos Experience does not utilize the full dome, but Thursday evening's Music And Sound Alchemy will.

Experience a journey beyond the horizon with Music And Sound Alchemy, where Matt Venuti fuses a live instrumental performance with immersive 360° celestial visuals...created especially for this event by the Planetarium Supervisor, Hannah Sparkes! Witness the transformation of sound into spirit under the full dome, blending timeless vistas with modern, expansive music and sound to create a profound cosmic alignment. This event is designed to lead listeners into a state of peace and boundless presence. Matt’s array of extraordinary acoustic and electronic instruments gives him endless improvisational possibilities with the cosmos as his guide.
