Playing gongs with flumies creates music often described as celestial, cosmic, ancient, mind-blowing and heart-opening—like angelic orchestras, or sounds from the oceans and rainforests. Bear began his career as a detective in the London Metropolitan Police, driven by a desire to help people. However, he soon realised that working with sound offered a far more rewarding—and infinitely less stressful—path to bring healing to many.
Shion’s background is in music, energy work and healing. After gaining a university degree in music education, she recognised early on that she was seeking a deeper meaning in life, which led her onto the path of healing and spirituality.
She has practiced acupuncture for over 40 years, alongside ongoing studies in Qigong and meditation. Today, Shion divides her time between her private sound healing and acupuncture practice, and the sacred sound work she shares with Bear.
There is a unique quality to the teaching and sound ceremonies offered by Bear Love and Shion Buschner. As they both honour the sacred and intelligent nature of sound, gong playing is recognised as an inner practice as well as a genuine path towards peace on Earth.
