IMBOLC CELEBRATION!After a long time of quiet brewing (almost a whole year!), Copenhagen Occult Club returns, with our first gathering in a long time and we are stepping back into the light exactly where the wheel turns toward renewal.
Join Copenhagen Occult Club and Fandens Mælkebøtte at Operaen, Christiania for a Sunday celebration of Imbolc — the festival of returning light, rebirth, and the first stirring of spring beneath the soil.
We begin with a talk covering…
• Imbolc traditions and folklore
• The role and stories of St. Brigid
• Rebirth, transformation and shedding winter layers
• Seasonal magick, inspiration and tradition
We then move into a hands-on workshop where we create St. Brigid’s crosses, woven charms and other Imbolc symbols using naturally sourced materials. (All supplies for the workshop are included)
To close the gathering, we will guide a collective candle magick ritual, co-created with everyone present, inviting creativity, magick and light into the coming cycle.
This is a witchy community gathering, an afternoon to learn, craft, talk and participate.
There will be plenty of time for connection, conversation and socializing throughout.
All kind of weirdos are welcome!
We hope to see many familiar as well as new faces at this first COC gathering in a long long time.
Occult greetings
Mariia, Sanne & Charlotte <3
BIO: FANDENS MÆLKEBØTTE
“Growing up different places of DK, we both dove into Dannie Druehyld’s universe – the interest in plants and magic staying a core part of our inner lives. We formed a lasting friendship in the City in our youth, and over the past years rediscovered this shared interest and inner belief system.
During the years we both trained to be gardeners, so working with plants has an extra dimension – it is a passion that is difficult to set aside and naturally it has formed an integral part of the way we work with magic. We tend to see if there is a way to shape herbs, oils or whole plants into the magical medium for our work.
As avid readers and professional plant people, exploring the craftier, practical way to magic has become a shared outlet for us with Fandens Mælkebøtte.
From starting as participants at various COC events, to sharing our craft at the Witch Markets, it feels natural to join forces with COC aka Mariia and celebrate the birth of the new Cycle with you all on the sacred Imbolc.” (Sanne & Charlotte)
