About the Event
This workshop is inspired by Catherine Hall's Lucky Valley: Edward Long and the History of Racial Capitalism. The participants will discuss the methodological challenges of imagining lives, including in colonised contexts, and consider the relations between the historical imagination and the histories of race and capitalism.
The Symposium is a part of Imagination Days 2 events, organised by Maks Del Mark, the IHSS Imagination Research Network convenor.
