About this Event
Illumination Open Art Studio is a creative and heartfelt gathering led by art therapist Alyssa, inviting the community to come together in support of mental health, connection, and shared healing. This open studio experience offers a welcoming space to slow down, create, and reflect, using art as a gentle way to process, express, and connect with one another.
Participants will create lanterns, luminaries, and other illuminated art pieces, each one representing hope, resilience, and the inner light we carry even in difficult moments. The act of creating light becomes a powerful symbol of mental health awareness, reminding us that even small moments of care, creativity, and connection can help guide us through darkness.
These glowing creations will be carried and displayed during the Hearts in Motion Mental Health Walk on May 14th, beginning at Alice’s House in Humarock and continuing to JPH. As the walk unfolds, the collective light will serve as a moving expression of support, compassion, and the reminder that no one has to walk their path alone.
