MEET THE BISQUE:

Founded in the wake of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, The Bisque is an improv troupe which produces quarterly comedy shows to raise money for abortion access. All ticket profits are donated to The Brigid Alliance, an organization which directly supports people who need to travel for an abortion. To date, The Bisque has raised almost $2,000 for The Brigid Alliance, approximately the amount of money needed to provide one person with abortion services. You can help us raise even more by buying a ticket right now!

Laura Gilbert is a writer, improviser, and software engineer based in Philadelphia. There’s almost nothing she likes more these days than taking walks while listening to “That’s The Way It Is” by Celine Dion on repeat, and she’s okay with what that says about where she is in her life right now. She’s a French onion soup girl, which is to say she’s an anything-blanketed-in-melted-cheese girl. Find her on Instagram: @lkgilbert

Emily Keown is a writer, producer, improviser and professional yapper. She hails from South Carolina, but has called New York City her home for the last 15 years. She loves the outdoors, thrill rides and telling everyone she encounters that they NEED to wear sunscreen. She believes hot soup should be enjoyed year-round.

Deirdre Manning is a regular actor, improviser, and writer who performs regularly around NYC including with GOLD Comedy’s Digital Sketch team, No Worries If Not. She’s also a regular cast member of tabletopnotch - a DnD livestream every Sunday at 7pm EST. Check out her website for regular updates: www.deirdremanning.com. She thinks it's totally regular and ok to have soup anytime of day, if you want!

John Racioppo is an actor, improvisor, and theatre producer originally from Toronto, Canada. You can catch him Tuesdays at UCB's Harold Night and Thursdays at Young Ethel's Bar-prov Experiment. He is also the Senior Producer at Fault Line Theatre, a company dedicated to developing and producing socially-relevant, new plays. If he's being totally honest, he likes making soup more than he does eating it. www.JohnRacioppo.com

Neil Redfield is an actor, writer, and improviser who lives right here in NYC. He loves improv. He also loves hearty soup, even though he’s allergic to onions. You can watch him being sloppy on the second season of The Gilded Age, or this Fall as an understudy for the Off-Broadway play Another Shot. www.neilredfield.com

Elizabeth Henderson is a human, improviser, and nonprofit girlie based in Pawtucket, RI. Should you find yourself in the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution, you can catch her performing and teaching regularly at Kismet Improv. She's done a lot of contemplating on soup since being prompted to write this bio, and will be happy to discuss her musings with you after the show!
