The Ikebana Ikenobo Vancouver Chapter will present an exhibition in the Floral Hall at VanDusen Garden on Saturday October 4th! Two live demonstrations will be featured at 11:00am and 1:30pm respectively.
With a history of more than 500 years the Ikenobo school is the origin of the Japanese ikebana floral art. During each demonstration there will be several arrangements created in front of you showing styles developed over the 500 years of legacy. The exhibition will also showcase from Ikenobo freestyle arrangements to the distinct Ikenobo styles of shoka shimputai rikka among other traditional styles.
Admission is free but donation is welcomed.
