What to expect at the event?
Gatesville Country Store sits on Salt Creek and just about a mile downstream of the glacial drift. Gatesville Country Store offers dry camping, water is available, and they also a couple electric hookups, please call and reserve your spot if you need electric with Robin Stevens at 812/988-0788. Gatesville Country Store offers a Breakfast Buffet, Lunch, and Dinner on Saturdays, and on Sundays they have a Breakfast Buffet, and Lunch.
The Gatesville Country Store does require each person that is using the property to have a liability waver on file inside the store so if have not done so please stop inside and fill out the form prior to heading to the creek.
The Gatesville Country Store offers a nice sand bar at the south end of the property that you can setup a Trommel or High Banker on. They also have access on the north end for dredges and stream sluices. They have changed some of the rules as to where you can run a dredge on their property so please stop in a have a conversation with Robin or Doug as to where you can setup.
Please register at the registration table at the pavilion that is on the north side of the store. We will have plenty of gold prospecting equipment available for you to purchase if you need anything while you are at the outing.
