What is Theatrical Lighting?

This course provides a comprehensive overview of theatrical lighting including the various tools, techniques and positions used to create dramatic effects on stage. The course will cover traditional and modern lighting technologies, safety requirements and the latest trends in theatrical lighting. Additionally, the course will cover the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements for performance spaces to ensure that theater is accessible for all.
Presenter Bio:
Phil Wilberg started his career as a manufacturing temp in Madison, WI working for Electronic Theatre Controls building Dimmer racks, after graduating from RIT with an Engineering Degree. From there he became the first Applications Engineer, then a Project Manager, International PM, and Department manager before moving south to work for a Theatrical Dealer / Manufacturer – Texas Scenic Company, working with specifiers on New Build Theaters as well renovations. Phil is currently working for SESCO Lighting as an outside sales person for Lighting and Controls, heavy on the controls, with a focus on Entertainment, Hospitality, and Fa?ade enhancement.
