About this Event
We've put together a group of experienced games industry veterans with hiring experience, ready to give you honest feedback on the materials you're using to support job applications.
There's a lot of dubious info out there on what works and what doesn't when applying for jobs, so this is a chance to hear from people who've actually run hiring pipelines. Bring your CV/portfolio/cover letter - anything you'd use to support a job application - and our team will review them and tell you what's working and what isn't, from a hiring manager's perspective. You can bring printouts, or if it's more convenient you can bring electronic copies or links we can open.
We'll be in the venue from 4:00 onwards, but feel free to show up and introduce yourself at any time.
Drinks & Food
Our hosts for this event are Four Quarters Elephant & Castle. The venue sells food and drinks, and also has a selection of consoles and arcade machines. Maybe we'll play some Mario Kart afterwards!
Who are IGDA London?
The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) is the world's largest nonprofit membership organisation serving all individuals who create games. Each chapter around the world is volunteer-led. As the London Chapter, we organise regular accessible events under the IGDA banner, which gives this community an opportunity to unite and flourish. You do not need to be a member of the IGDA to attend most of these events, but we do encourage you to become a card carrying member so you don't miss out on member-only, special events each year and many of the benefits from becoming an IGDA member.
