ICOB has been organising Annual Conventions for more than 20 years, bringing together Banyakigezi in the diaspora to reconnect and identify issues that affect
their community and devise solutions to tackle them. This year’s Convention will be
hosted by COB UK & Ireland from Thursday 25th-29th July. This will take place at
Hilton London Syon Park, Park Road Isleworth, TW8 8JF, United Kingdom along the
banks of River Thames.
The Convention’s theme is, Fostering Mental Wellbeing and Financial Literacy in Our
Communities. A series of workshops and plenary discussions will explore issues
related to this theme with the aim of sharing good practice that be applied to different
projects. The Convention Programme will provide opportunities for networking,
including a main dinner event, cultural activities and entertainment. There will be a
separate programme for children and young people including a Youth Symposium.
