About this Event
Emiliano Catan (Co-Director, Institute for Corporate Governance & Finance) will moderate a panel of participants including A. Gilchrist Sparks (formerly of Morris, Nichols Arsht & Tunnel LLP), who represented Revlon; David McBride (Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor LLP) and Stuart Shapiro (Forman & Shapiro), who represented MacAndrews & Forbes; and Stephen Fraidin (Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft LLP), who represented Forstmann & Little in the transaction. Our goal is not only to cover the central ways in which Revlon changed the doctrinal landscape, but to go beyond the legal doctrines and dive into the rich narrative behind the litigation -- sharing the untold stories, the strategic decisions, and the unexpected twists that shaped the case and its ultimate resolution. We envision this as a unique opportunity for reflection and lively discussion about the real-life drama that unfolded behind one of Delaware’s most influential corporate law rulings.
The program will be in D’Agostino Hall. A reception will follow.
This event has been approved to offer 1.5 New York State CLE credits in the category ofAreas of Professional Practice. The credit is both transitional and non-transitional; it is appropriate for both experienced and newly appointed attorneys.
