Trump’s ICE campaign is a war against workers in the US, while his imperialist campaign in Venezuela and beyond is a war against workers abroad.
ICE raids from Chicago, to Portland, to New Orleans, to Minneapolis, are getting more and more aggressive — culminating in the M**der of Renee Good. Trump invaded Venezuela to foster regime change for the purposes of strengthening US Imperialism, and he’s threatening more actions in other countries!
Rapid response and neighborhood defense against ICE throughout Chicago and other US cities has been truly courageous. Hundreds of thousands of everyday people have protested against US Imperialism in Gaza to Iran to Venezuela. But the defensive nature of rapid response and the strategy of protest-after-protest are unsustainable and will not ultimately defeat Trump nor US Imperialism.
The only social force capable of stopping Trump and US Imperialism is the organized working class. Working people and activated youth need a socialist strategy of walkouts, occupations, and strikes! And democratic, grassroots action conferences to organize such a strategy!
Trump’s authoritarian push will continue until the organized working class pushes back. Join us to discuss how we can do just that.
