About this Event
Woody Guthrie is known as a songwriter but he also used visual art to capture moments. His artwork is simple, raw and deeply personal made with quick sketches, handwritten notes and bold lines. Woody’s style feels immediate and unpolished, reflecting the people, places and stories he encountered on the road. His drawings often pair images with words, blending storytelling and art in a way that feels honest and direct. Artist Rosemary Daugherty will lead this hands-on workshop, where you’ll design postcards to capture the spirit of the open road inspired by Woody Guthrie and Route 66.
