About this Event
Join us for a special children’s book reading and signing of I Am, a beautifully illustrated short story rooted in Indigenous wisdom and self-identity.
Written and illustrated by , a Native American ink artist, I Am follows an Indigenous child as they explore themes of presence, belonging, and inner strength. Through gentle language and expressive artwork, the story invites young readers and their families to reflect on identity, connection, and the power of self-affirmation.
This family-friendly event will include a live reading by the author, a brief conversation about the inspiration behind the book, and a book signing. All are welcome.
Proceeds from I Am directly support Indigenous language revitalization initiatives within Native American communities, including the White Mountain Apache Tribe, Navajo Nation, San Pasqual Kumeyaay, and the Kanza Tribe of Oklahoma. Each book purchased helps sustain efforts that protect, teach, and pass on Indigenous languages for future generations.
