About this Event
Join us for a first look at Hyundai Translocal Series: Entangled and Woven before the exhibition opens to the public.
Bringing together contemporary artists from Korea and India alongside historic textiles from the Whitworth’s collection, the exhibition explores the stories carried through cloth — of movement, memory, labour and connection across generations and borders.
From large-scale installations and delicate embroidery to hand-spun fibres and shared craft traditions, Entangled and Woven invites you to slow down, look closely and experience textiles in unexpected ways.
This special preview is a chance to experience the exhibition before opening and to celebrate the final chapter of this international exhibition journey from Cheongju and New Delhi to Manchester.
