Join us at VAUNT Fitness for a fun, community fitness challenge! The HYROX PFT is the standard "Physical Fitness Test" designed by HYROX. It may be called a "Fitness Test" but this is for ALL levels and can be modified as needed.
What is HYROX?
HYROX is a global fitness event with its US Headquarters based here in Chicago! HYROX is best described as an endurance fitness race that is for Every Body, meaning it consists of common movements that are low skill, but of course challenging. HYROX brings purpose to your training every day at the gym, with its next event coming to Chicago in November 2024.
The PFT (Physical Fitness Test)
The PFT is a benchmark workout designed by HYROX to test your fitness. This workout is a baseline and is repeatable to test your progress. This benchmark is modifiable to all levels whether you are a competitive athlete or brand new to fitness. Everyone receives a finisher patch depending on your finishing time and age group (Gold, Silver, or Bronze).
The Workout:
This is the standard format, although reps and movements can me modified to meet you at your current fitness level. You can even do it with a partner!
For Time:
1000m Run
50 Burpee Broad Jumps
100 Stationary Lunges (no added weight)
1000m Row
30 Hand Release Push Ups
100 Wall Balls
The most important part is that you have fun! There will be great music, giveaways from HYROX sponsors, as well as an opportunity to enter a raffle for a free race entry.
