Hurt & Skip is a new blues project from Shane Pruitt, Joe Power and Jason Phillips. The band combines Mississippi hill country blues with tribal and native polyrhythms. This combination of the old with the new transcends genre. Shane Pruitt is also the guitarist for the Marshall Tucker Band, and Jason Phillips also plays percussion with the Marcus King Band.
