Enriching parents of young children with best-practices and fellowship in their efforts to raise happy, holy children.About this Event
Parents are given the incredible task of being the primary educators of their children in the family, the foremost school of learning how to be a gift to others.
Family Honor's Leading and Loving program assists them in deepening their knowledge of this important task, discerning how to implement it in their families, and enjoy fellowship with other couples with the same mission. (Target audience - newly weds to parents of children up to age 11).
- Two-part program occuring March 13 & 14, 2026.
- Start time 6:30pm, finish time 9:00 pm on Friday 3/13; 9am-2pm on Saturday 3/14.
- Leading and Loving intended for adults attending without children, with childcare available upon request with advanced notice. Please contact Vincent Weaver with specifics on number of children and ages: [email protected]
- Potluck dinner served Friday evening. Morning snacks and lunch provided Saturday. Please contact Vincent Weaver to note Friday dish to share.
- The event is free with registration, with an option to donate to cover costs.
Leading and Loving contains 6 sessions which cover:
- Our primary identity - a loved son or daughter of God
- The Language of Love - How Do I Teach My Child To Be A Loving Person?
- The Birds and Bees - Teaching More Than Facts
- Formation in Virtue
- Broken Heart - Dealing with Tough Issues
- Growing a Joyful, Faith-Filled Family
Led by experienced Family Honor Presenters who are also moms and dads, each session includes:
- A short video
- A talk from other parents addressing sensitive topics
- Break-out time with your spouse to focus on planning for your own family.
- Bountiful resource and reference materials to keep.
