Hurricane Katrina: Race Against Time - Screening and Discussion

Join us for a screening of the National Geographic series Hurricane Katrina: Race Against Time hosted by the University of the District of Columbia’s digital media program.

We will screen episode #3 from this powerful five-part series, which explores how a natural disaster became a national tragedy, weaving archival footage with firsthand accounts from the people who lived through it.

The program will open with a pre-recorded introduction from National Geographic Producer Sean Johnson followed by a welcome from Executive Producer Ryan Coogler and a Q&A with director Traci A. Curry. Stephen Leach from National Geographic's Inclusive Content and Engagement team will join attendees afterward to continue the discussion.
