About this Event
Join the University of Plymouth Environmental Society for a screening of 'Hungry for Change', a film examining our reliance on the UK's intensive, hyper-globalised, fossil fuel-driven food system - which is itself becoming more and more vulnerable to climate shocks.
The film is presented by forager Josh Quick, who asks whether there are ways of producing more of our food locally and in more imaginative, but less damaging, ways. It takes a fascinating and inspiring look at a whole range of stories about hope, resilience and people doing some extraordinary things in Cornwall to counter the impacts of our broken food system.

The screening will be at Jill Craigie Cinema in the Roland Levinsky Building on Monday 2 December 2024 and doors open at 18:30. The film is 30 minutes and will be followed by a short questionnaire to help Cornwall Climate Care assess how the documentary influences audience behaviours and attitudes towards climate change.
FREE pasties will be provided.
