Humanography firar sin åttonde upplaga och sammanför både den lokala och internationella dansscenen. Festivalen uppstod som ett urbant dansevenemang på Göteborgs gator och har nu tagit plats på den traditionella scenen. Humanography strävar efter att öppna dialoger mellan olika scenkonstpraktiker och kroppsliga kunskaper. När det mänskliga, i relation till det geografiska, blottlägger andliga och kulturella sprickor – och när teknologin börjar ta kommando över våra kroppar – inbjuder detta möte till reflektion över vad dans kan vara bortom spektakel: Ett rörligt territorium, en kunskapsform, en möjlig handling av motstånd. Festivalen kureras av Sebastian Ruiz och Jonny Berg, även kända som DanceRemainings. The festival started as an urban dance event in the streets of Gothenburg, and now extends into a traditional stage space. Humanography strives to start dialogues across performance practices and bodily knowledge. When what is human, in relation to the geographic, reveals spiritual and cultural fractures – and as technology begins to command our bodies – this gathering invites reflection on what dance can be beyond spectacle: a moving territory, a form of knowledge, a possible act of resistance.
