A bespoke talk and Q+A for Humanities students at University of Dundee, with our distinguished graduate and internationally recognised film manager, Anna Rathband.
This talk is part of our 'Employ-Abilities' plus programme in Humanities at Dundee, for students of all levels.
Join us to hear about Anna's background and journey, to learn from her experiences at University of Dundee, and to discuss some of her professional work.
Anna's bio:
Anna Rathband is Filming Manager at National Trust for Scotland and presenter of If You Film It They Will Come podcast (https://ifyoufilmit.podbean.com/)
As filming manager Anna is responsible for promoting NTS properties for filming and photography, working with the NTS property managers, rangers, conservators and curators to offer a film-friendly service to productions. Recent filming at NTS properties has included ‘Outlander’ at Culross and Falkland Palace, ‘The Buccaneers at Culzean Castle and Geilston Garden’, BBC’s ‘Antiques Roadshow’ at Hill of Tarvit, and ‘Outlaw King’, ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ and ‘Detective Pikachu’ - all filmed at Glencoe.
The National Trust for Scotland is the country's leading conservation charity, established to promote Scotland's natural and cultural heritage. It owns and operates over 100 properties across the country, from natural landscapes and islands such as Glencoe, St Abb's Head, The Hermitage and St Kilda, to built properties including Fyvie Castle, Culzean Castle, Preston Mill, House of Dun and the Royal Borough of Culross.
