Performance Garage presents HubChat: Time & Memory - A conversation between Megan Mazarick & Dr. Jason Karlawish
About this Event

HubChat: Time & Memory - A conversation between Megan Mazarick (DanceVisions 2024-2025 Resident Artist) & Dr. Jason Karlawish (Co-Director of the Penn Memory Center).

The Performance Garage is proud to team-up with the Penn Memory Center to kick-off the 2024-2025 DanceVisions season with a new edition of HubChat.

Megan Mazarick will perform tentacle, a dance solo about memories, floating, and perception, inspired by her father's slow decline through dementia and the immortality of some hydrozoans. What impact does an individual leave on the world and do we eventually only exist in the minds of others? The trace of a tentacle in the water swirls beautifully like the trace of our own remembrance.

Our esteemed guest, Dr. Jason Karlawish, Co-Director of the Penn Memory Center and author of the book , will lead a conversation on the topic of Time & Memory.
