Join us for an event entitled, How We Got Here. This discussion between Oliver Jeffers and Easkey Britton will focus on our impact on the planet and where we might go from here.
Oliver Jeffers' engagements and practice are truly International in scope. His critically acclaimed picture books have been translated into over fifty languages and sold over 14 million copies worldwide. His original artwork has been exhibited at such institutions as the Brooklyn Museum in New York, the National Portrait Gallery in London, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. Jeffers has been the recipient of numerous awards, in eluding a New York Times Best Illustrated Children's Books Award, Bologna Rigazzi Aware, an Emmy award for Studio AKA and Apple's adaptation of Here We Are, and an MBE from Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth for Special Services to the Arts.
"Easkey Britton is a surfer, writer and a social ecologist. Her research focuses on untangling and understanding the connections and interrelationships between humans, our health and well-being, and the health of the planet. She identifies where these connections are broken, how we might restore them, and the transformative healing that can occur when we do. Easkey is the author of several books on our human relationship with the ocean including, "Saltwater in the Blood" (2021) and "Ebb and Flow" (2023).
Cancellation Policy
Dingle Lit regrets that once purchased, tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged, refunded or returned unless the event is cancelled, rescheduled, or if details of the event are significantly changed after an order is placed. In the event of the cancellation/change of an event, Dingle Lit will only refund the face value of the ticket. It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to ascertain whether an event has been cancelled and the date and time of any rearranged performance. If an event is cancelled, rescheduled or changed, Dingle Lit will email everyone who has booked through Eventbrite and will use reasonable endeavours to notify ticket holders of the cancellation/change. Please note that Dingle Lit cannot guarantee that ticket holders will be informed of such cancellation before the date of the event.
Refunds will only be offered if the event is cancelled.
The unauthorised use of photographic and recording equipment is prohibited.Dingle Lit cannot accept responsibility for any personal property.
Ticket holders consent to be filmed, photographed and recorded as audience members. The resulting film footage, images and recordings may be used to promote the Book Festival and its activities in print, in the media and on websites. Dingle Lit will endeavour to inform attendees before the commencement of the event if filming is to take place.
