About this Event
Let's get it out.
Join this beginner-friendly class and learn:
- How to go from ALL THE IDEAS and a pile of notes to a clear outline for a fiction or nonfiction book.
- How to create a "book compass" that will keep you on track as you write, and set you up for post-publication success.
- An easy, step-by-step process for writing that takes intimidation out of the mix.
- How to decide whether self-publishing or traditional publishing is right for you, and what steps to take for either path.
By the end of this highly-interactive workshop, you'll have a clear list of steps for finishing your book and you'll have completed your own book compass.
About the teacher:
Rachel Allen is an Appalachian writer, journalist, and memoirist. Raised in the mountains outside of Asheville, NC, she cut her teeth in professional writing via investigative journalism, then fell backwards into a marketing career that took her all over the world and resulted in her writing for some of the biggest (and smallest) names in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. During this time she's also ghostwritten, edited, or written over 20 books, including several that made bestseller lists and airport bookshelves. She now writes essays, investigative podcasts, and nonfiction, including her upcoming memoir, Batshit.
