In the third workshop of Rosca Horsemanship's 'Winter Workshop' series, 'How To Train Your Horse' will be running on Monday 20th January at Derby College Equestrian Centre.In his third and final part of this Winters workshop series, equine behaviour specialist Ross Cooper will be delving deep in to the multitude of aspects that need to be considered for the best possible training of equines.
In this workshop you will learn:
- How horses process the world
- Learning theory and it's application
- Considerations of age-appropriate training
- The importance of promoting fitness and functional movement
- How the environment and management impacts welfare, training and learning.
This workshop will aim to provide you with the knowledge to not only enhance your handling skills and riding of your own horses, but considerations to further improve your own ethics and welfare standards.
The evening will follow Ross's known relaxed and informative teaching style, include a presentation talk, encouraged constructive discussion throughout followed by some interactive learning experiences!
