About this Event
As part of the ongoing "How To"… series at Sir Devonshire Square – exploring the art of figuring things out, one unexpected topic at a time – February is all about movement, and finding how running can work for you, whatever your experience level.
How To… Find Your Pace is an invitation to rethink running – not as competition or performance, but as a way of reconnecting with your body and your sense of self.
Join an evening with author, certified running coach and gait analyst Emma Kirk-Odunubi, whose new book Find Your Pace encourages you to get started, get better and get even more out of going for a run.
Drawing on her own journey – from childhood joy, through grief and questions around her identity and rediscovering freedom through movement – Emma shares how running can become a tool for self-understanding, confidence and care.
In this practical and encouraging session, Emma will explore how to:
- Find a pace that fits your lifestyle (not someone else’s)
- Move without pressure, perfection or comparison
- Use running – or movement more broadly – as a way to process emotion, build confidence and come home to yourself
This isn’t about speed, distance or personal bests. It’s about learning to listen to your body, start where you are, and move forward on your own terms.
