About this Event
/Dating/ v. the art and skill of getting to know other people (humans).
This might be the single most important year for relationships. And the best way to understand where we're headed? Look at what's been happening in dating. Relevant whether youβre working fully remote, new to a city, or hoping to meet someone special.
Join us at Working From_Fulton Market with Lakshmi Rengarajan, a dating culture researcher who doesn't just study dating β she's spent 15 years trying to make it better. In 2011, she launched Me So Far, an offline dating company born right here in Chicago. She went on to work at Match.com, host three podcasts about modern dating, and study the lives of midlife daters. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, and the Pivot podcast. Now she's ready to share what she's learned from watching dating culture unfold, and why she believes it's the most fascinating lens we have for understanding how humans connect today.
She'll also announce her next project, one rooted in Chicago.
You don't have to be single to care about this. Dating culture is a mirror β it reflects how we meet, how we trust, and what we're willing to risk for connection. If any of that matters to you, grab a bev (on us) and pull up a chair.
