About this Event
Using a rain garden model, Tabitha, the Waterscapes project coordinator, will go through the best way to make a rain garden, from planter to plants and best practices.
Rain gardens are planters that have a drainpipe diverted into them, with a unique drainage system inside to allow the overflow of water but to retain water for the plants and wildlife within. These self-watering planters are easy to maintain after they’re built and can be tailored to the size you want and what plants you would like.
This workshop is part of Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust’s Waterscapes Week, celebrating the next year of the Waterscapes project. Thanks to the projects founding partners Intact Insurance, and partners the Environment Agency, and Gloucestershire County Council.
