About this Event
The extraordinary tale of how John Rennie’s beautiful Waterloo Bridge - called “the noblest in the world” by the Italian sculptor Canova - and painted many times by Monet, was pulled down because of the unforeseen effects on the tide of Rennie’s earlier work, a replacement of the ancient London Bridge.
Victor Keegan is a former Guardian journalist who has written three books on Lost London including his latest published this year “Thorney, London‘s forgotten Island“
