About this Event
In Buddhism, attachment is a primary cause of suffering because it’s a craving for permanence in an impermanent world, leading to clinging to pleasant experiences and aversion to unpleasant ones, trapping us in a cycle of desire, disappointment, and rebirth. It’s not about letting go of things or people, but releasing the mental grasp and desire for them to be unchanging, recognizing their transient nature through wisdom to find peace, not detachment from life.
In this series, we will be looking specifically at the eight worldly concerns, and understanding that for as long as we continue to hold tightly to these concerns, we will lack the ability to find true happiness, and we will be unable to make serious progress on the spiritual path.
