Featured artist for this month's Houston Folklore and Music Society's 2nd Saturday concert series is singer-songwriter Claudia Gibson, from Austin Texas. Claudia's recent album The Fields of Chazy has been called “...a heady mixture that conjures the ghosts of John Steinbeck and Townes Van Zandt, and yet remains uniquely personal.” Claudia is a former Kerrville New Folk finalist whose Folk/Americana songs reflect her varied musical background of Folk, Classical, Celtic, Rock & Soul genres. Opening the evening is Houston's own Ray Wyatt, the Houston Songwriters Association’s 2024 & 2021 Songwriter of the Year whose 5th album, I Ain’t Worried is releasing on March 1st.The concert is at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church's Warren Family Center, located at 5308 Rutgers, Houston, TX 77005. Suggested donation at the Door is $20 per person.
