About this Event
Darla Daniels is a Métis fiddler, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement, Alberta. Blending traditional Métis fiddle with roots, folk, country, and Americana, her music captures both the spirit of her community and a bold, contemporary edge. A festival favorite, she has performed at Edmonton Folk Music Festival, Mariposa Folk Music Festival, and Sākihiwē Festival, and appeared in the Stratford Festival’s The Diviners. Her artistry has also earned multiple nominations from Country Music Alberta, including Fans Choice and Specialty Instrument of the Year (2024, 2025).
Marten Borch brings a sound that feels larger than life—raw, heartfelt, and deeply human. Drawing from folk, Celtic, swing, and even hints of EDM, his music blends old-world roots with modern energy. His songs explore social justice, environmentalism, and the shared human experience. Performing solo but sounding like a full band, Borch delivers a “three-in-one” live experience that is both powerful and unforgettable. With his latest album That Was Fun, he continues to establish himself as a meaningful voice in the indie music scene.
This is a house concert—expect a cozy atmosphere, close-up performances, and a chance to truly experience the music the way it was meant to be heard.
We believe live music should be accessible to everyone, especially in challenging times. That’s why we’re offering a pay-what-you-can option. If you’re in a position to contribute a little more, your support helps make it possible for others to attend while allowing us to continue hosting events like this. Thank you for being part of a community that looks out for each other.
Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks to enjoy throughout the evening. This is a family-friendly event, and all ages are welcome.
