We're honored this month to present THE MARK LEWIS QUARTET featuring the jazz world veteran, composer, recording artist, and always entertaining, MARK LEWIS (Sax and Flute) and accompanied by his favorite sidemen, RANDY HALBERSTADT (Keyboard), PHIL SPARKS (Bass), & BOB MERRIHEW (Drums). This is Classically Cool, Straight-Ahead Jazz as performed by Lewis, a cat who cut his chops in the Jazz clubs in Europe or on the streets for 14 years before returning to the US and touring from coast to coast. Although born and raised in the Pacific Northwest (Bremerton) and studying music at Western Washington University and Cornish College of the Arts, Lewis only plays a few gigs a year in Seattle due to his touring schedule. But HOT JAZZ AT THE GALLERY has been consistently one of his favorite venues for its sound, our audiences, and overall vibe! So whether you're a Jazz aficionado or new to the music, you'll end the night with that Cool Jazz itch more than musically scratched! Join Us!
