HORUS HERESY 3RD EDITION 1v1 EVENT (2000pt)Sunday, Mar 8, 12:30 - 18:45

Welcome to the Horus Heresy; where you will lead your forces in the battles that will decide its fate.
This event is for the tabletop game, Warhammer: The Horus Heresy 3rd Edition (This is NOT a Warhammer: 40,000 event.)
EVENT DETAILS
- There will be two factions: Loyalists, and Traitors.
- Each battle will consist of two players, 1 Loyalist vs 1 Traitor. If the sides are not equal in the number of attending players, before beginning the 1st battles of the event we will ask for volunteers to join one side or another to balance the numbers between the two factions.
- The event welcomes both beginners, as well as experienced players of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy.
- Each player will play in 2 games during the event.
- "The Heart of Battle" and "Crucible of War" Missions from the Core Rulebook will be used.
- Important to note, this is an event to have fun and connect with other people who share a mutual interest in The Horus Heresy Tabletop Wargame, and is not a competitive tournament; no singular winner will be announced and no prizes will be given out for winning.
- Fully painted armies are NOT required but are greatly encouraged!
EVENT SCHEDULE
- Arrive by 12:30 for list check and setup.
- The first game will begin at 13:00 and end at 15:45.
- A 15min break will be had.
- The second game will begin at 16:00 and go until 18:45.
- A brief wrap-up announcement will follow the second game to announce the narrative outcome of the event.
FORCE ORGANIZATION
- Army Lists may be up to 2000pts in size.
- 0-1 Allied Detachment may be included.
- No Units with the Paragon Sub-Type may be taken.
- 0-1 Unit with the Unique Sub-Type may be taken
- No Vehicles with more than 8 HP may be taken, except for 0-1 Vehicle with between 9-12 HP, which may be included.
- No Battlefield Fortifications may be taken.
- A maximum of 4 units with the same unit name may be taken (This limit does not apply to units that are from the “Troops” or “Transport” categories).
ARMY LIST REVIEW
- Please send your Army List, via Facebook Messenger to the organizer (Gabriel Gold) for review prior to the event.
- It is best if the list is made using the New Recruit Army Builder App, which you can download for free from the App Store.
- If you need a hand with putting it together, just send Gabriel Gold a message on Facebook, he is happy to help.
EVENT HOUSE RULES
We have a small selection of required House Rules, which must be used by all players in this event. We’ve also included a set of Optional House Rules which can only be used if both players in a game would like to do so. We highly recommend you give them a try, tho. In our opinion, they improve the game in subtle, yet very enjoyable ways.

- These House Rules are required, and address Terrain Rules, Line of Sight and include Errata on Drop Pod Doors, Wrecked Vehicles and Wound Allocation. They also include a small list of extra Wargear options for units that lost such options in 3rd edition, so players can still use models they built during 2nd edition.

- These House Rules are completely optional, and can only be used in an Event Game if all the players of that game/battle would like to use them.
- If any player in a game would prefer to not use them, simply use the Core Rules + the Required Event House Rules found above.
