About this Event
Raymour vs. Flanigan is a one-night, artist-run, site-specific exhibition staged inside TJ Byrnes, a classic Lower Manhattan restaurant and bar. The exhibition presents handmade rugs and photographs as speculative artifacts from a vanished Western consumer society, transforming the restaurant into a temporary anthropological display.
Rather than a traditional gallery setting, the work is embedded in a living social space, allowing visitors to experience art, architecture, and everyday life as a single environment. Guests can expect an immersive, informal experience where contemporary objects are recontextualized as cultural relics blurring the boundaries between exhibition, environment, and social gathering.
This is a one-night-only presentation.
