Mothers Circles are free monthly gatherings for mothers to come along to share the highs and lows of motherhood *Creative Session - open to all parents*
This March we're collaborating with Motueka Maternity Unit, who are looking for a new design to celebrate the Placenta/Whenua, the amazing organ that nourishes and supports our babies growing and thriving in the womb.
This design will then go on the bags which the placenta/whenua is placed in for the whanau to take home.
We'll be talking about the placenta and what it does and why this is important physically but also culturally and spiritually to many.
We'll be rolling out the art paper to get creative drawing, painting and creating, it's a chance to celebrate our bodies, pregnancy and motherhood, reflecting on what it means to grow life.
This will be a fun and interactive session and the perfect opening if you've never been to one of our events before.
We'll have the coffee as always and a special morning tea honouring the nourish and nurture our body needs to grow our pepi and placenta/whenua.
All parents are welcome to this session. Babies/toddlers are welcome (as this is a creative session please be mindful when bringing children that some small parts, paint and pencils will be around)
